Welcome to Lounge on the Farm 2008

One of the biggest cult bands in the world we reckon, Art Brut are a punk DIY indie band who always perform and never fail to entertain. To be honest we've been trying to book the band since LOTF 2006 so we're very happy to make it happen this time around. Since debut single ‘Formed A Band’ became a rallying cry across indie London, a call to arms to a new generation determined to poke fun at everything and everyone, Art Brut have blossomed into one of Britain's best representatives of that new wave that also carried bands like Bloc Party & Franz Ferdinand. With splinter groups and affiliated bands at every corner, mostly the product of the wunderkind Mr Eddie Argos, you never quite know what you're going to get, and we may well see the band in some different guise on the farm this year. There's not many bands in the world today that have seen global success like that of Art Brut, and we can't wait for the bang bang rock n roll roadshow to hit Canterbury...
