The Shortwave Set have been setting our world on fire since the release of their Slingshot ep on 10" way back in 2005. From there they've gone on to release critically-acclaimed album 'The Debt Collection', championing a kitsch, Victorian found sound completely of their own. Said album was enjoyed so much by a mister Dangermouse that the band found themselves supporting Gnarls Barkley on some UK dates. And next thing you know they're in LA, recording all new LP, Replica Sun Machine with Dangermouse himself. The resulting work, soon to be released by Wall Of Sound, is one of the brightest, most beautiful albums we've heard in a long time, drawing on some wonderful 60s psychedelic moments amidst its undoubtedly poppy moments, but a classic pop not of this era. The album deserves to be huge, only time will tell - all will be revealed... But you can came make up your own mind down the farm this year
