Smoke Fairies are a British folk-blues duo comprising of Jessica Davies and Katherine Blamire. The play dark, languorous acoustic songs heavily influenced by American forms such as bluegrass, blues and appalachian folk.

The two met at school and bonded over shared pyromaniacal tendencies and they formed Smoke Fairies in 1996. The band’s sound was formed while the pair spent a year studying in New Orleans and a further year in Canada.
