Local

Lounge on the Farm was conceived from a desire to bring music and art back to Canterbury. Kent as a whole is crammed full of talent and Canterbury itself has a strong and diverse cultural history. From Geoffrey Chaucer all the way through to Caravan and The Canterbury Sound, our home town has never been short of a cultural revolution or two. We believe whole heartedly in what our home turf has to offer and for this reason we try to bring as many local businesses, community groups, artists and producers into the festival. This way we get to reduce our carbon footprint and we promote local sustainability. Music festivals have a huge impact on their host community so we believe that our local community should get much as much stimulus, be it financial or cultural from the festival as possible. With our non-corporate stance and a commitment to supporting local business and bands, Lounge On The Farm is the cream of the Kentish crop and a world apart from all the identikit festivals on the calendar.
