Farm Folk is a new look for the ol' Arabesque tent of previous LOTFs'. Ditching the sumptuous decor and getting a bit back to our roots, the tent is going to be a big, 1000 capacity affair, with full stage and even a bar with comfy seating at the back. This is going to be the spot for all things chilled at LOTF in the day, gradually warming up as the day gets longer into some pretty crazy party action by night.
Friday is a fine start to proceedings, with some of the finest in local folk talents from Wheeler Street & Cocos Lovers, the wonderful Jonquil and Superimposers to pick things up somewhat, and some incredible blissed out antics from London-based ladies Madam & Cibelle to round things off in a folky friday finish.
Look out on Saturday day for some class acts by the daytime where we'd recommend a visit to come and get yourself back in festival spirits. Then come sundown we have some of the hottest acts ever to have appeared in a LOTF tent, Sargasso Trio, Findlay Brown & Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit who should have everyone whooping and hollering in good time for the much awaited arrival of LOTF favourites Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, who have blown this tent apart for the past 2 years on the trot. We wouldn't bet against them doing it again.
Sunday starts off with some goodtime jazz & swing, finds it feet in the afternoon with some blistering local musicians, including that Ben Mills fella, and gets a bit retro to round off, encompassing the vintage Pete Molinari & Holly Golightly and The Brokeoffs and closed by the mariachi surf of The Bookhouse Boys.
